The Villa's fascinating story
The Villa was built by a Venetian architect in the eighteen hundreds for
his lover. The noble man ended being obliged to sell the property to be
able to pay for his horses and women debts.

A famous soprano, who was in love with a young Italian Officer of the
first Kingdom of Italy, bought the Villa at the end of 1800.
They met very young and promised love to each other .
She became very famous and sang at the Metropolitan in New York, in
Mexico, in Argentina in several important Operas and she earned enough
to buy the Villa as a dowry, to be allowed to marry him.

The building passed in the years through the hands of the family
generations.
Luigi, the present proprietor, remembers visiting the estate, when he
was a child.
He was playing in the park with the youngest members of the family,
while his father, the doctor of the village, was invited by the General.
The fate of the house slowly , slowly, changed and the owners were
obliged to sell the two buildings on the property in different times,
dividing it in three parts .
At the end even the Villa went to an auction and was bought by a
carpenter. The man did not appreciate the magic of the property and also
due to a lack of money, left it in a state of disrepair.

Abandoned for several years, the bramble bushes growing up to the first
floor,....the destiny of the Villa was starting to change again.
In the late sixties Luigi, an experienced airline pilot, slowly re-
bought the different parts of the property and rejoined it.
Later on, a famous Italian film director choosed the place for filming a
movie and, thanks to the money earned and the precious help of Luciana,
they started to restore the building and brought it back to its ancient
splendor.
